100 g of flexible sealing wax in 4 mm beads, in the house violet. Beads are simply a more convenient form of the same material: you count them into a spoon rather than cutting a stick, which means every seal takes the same quantity and comes out the same size.
Six beads make a standard 25 mm seal. A hundred grams is roughly 110 seals, which is where beads start to make sense — for one or two letters a stick is less fuss, and for a hundred invitations a stick is an afternoon of cutting.
Same flexible formulation as the sticks, so these survive the post, and the same colour match to Registry Violet ink. Supplied in a screw-top tin with a measuring scoop that holds exactly six. Keep the tin closed; the beads are not hygroscopic but they will pick up dust and dust shows in a seal.
