A spare handle, turned from walnut with a brass ferrule and a collet that takes any of our 25 mm matrices on a 10 mm shank. Both the monogram and the house-mark seals ship with a handle already, so this is for people who have more than one face and would rather store them loose than keep three handles in a drawer.
The collet is a split brass sleeve tightened by a knurled ring; a quarter turn locks a matrix solidly enough that it will not rotate under a press, and a quarter turn the other way releases it. No tools.
It is also the handle to buy if you have an inherited matrix with a broken handle — the collet will take any 10 mm shank, which covers most nineteenth and twentieth century seals, though not the older tapered ones. 95 mm overall, 48 g. Hard-wax oil finish.
