Fifty envelopes on 120 gsm cream laid, the same stock family as the writing papers, lined throughout with a violet tissue that shows when the flap is lifted. The lining is not decorative only — a tissue-lined envelope is genuinely more opaque, which matters if the thing inside is a cheque or a letter you would rather not have read against a lamp.
They are cut to 110 by 155 mm, which gives 3 mm clearance around the 105 by 148 mm correspondence card and a comfortable fit for an A5 sheet folded once or an A4 sheet folded twice. The flap is a straight pointed diamond, gummed with a remoistenable natural gum rather than a peel strip.
Gum is the right choice here and a peel strip is not, because a peel strip is plastic, it will not take a wax seal, and the liner backing jams a franking machine. These will take a seal directly on the flap point.
