Six heavy black-printed guide sheets on 250 gsm board, to lie underneath unruled writing paper. At anything up to about 120 gsm the lines show through clearly enough to follow and leave no mark on the sheet you are writing on, which is the entire advantage of a guide over a ruled page: the finished letter has no lines on it.
The set covers 6 mm ruled, 7 mm ruled, 5 mm dot grid, a 55-degree calligraphic slant grid with ascender and descender lines, a letter layout with a right margin and a date position, and a blank with margin rules only.
Printed at high contrast on a matt board so there is no shine to fight under a desk lamp. Cut to A4; for A5 work, fold one in half, which is what we do. Nine dollars is the least you can spend here to make your handwriting look better, and it does more than most of the pens.
