The Schoolroom is the pen we make to be treated badly. The barrel is moulded from a glass-filled polymer that will survive a drop onto tile, the cap snaps rather than screws so it cannot be cross-threaded, and the nib is a stainless No. 5 ground to a generous ball so it writes at almost any angle and in almost any hand.
It is 133 mm capped and 17 g filled. The line is a round 0.65 mm. The feed is moulded plastic rather than cut ebonite, which costs it a little character and gains it a lot of reliability — it does not burp when it warms up in a bag, and it starts after a month closed.
If you want one pen on a shared desk, or a pen for someone who has never used one, this is it. Takes standard international cartridges; a converter fits but the barrel is tight and we supply cartridges instead.
