Sometimes the point of an ink is that nobody notices it. Document Blue is a flat, strongly saturated mid-blue with the shading deliberately engineered out: it lays the same tone at the start and the end of a stroke, and it does not pool darker at the turns. That makes it legible under a photocopier, readable on a scan, and completely uninteresting to look at, which is the idea.
It dries in about 10 seconds in a medium on bond paper and resists feathering on the kind of thin stock that forms and contracts are printed on. It is not waterproof, but it is lightfast, so a filed document will not fade in a cabinet.
This is the ink we put in the shop’s own pens for signing things. If you have one pen that lives by the door for paperwork, fill it with this and forget about it. 30 ml round bottle.
