The Entry Standard has no mechanism we have not already broken and fixed. Cast acrylic barrel in graphite, steel No. 6 nib in medium, ebonite feed, cartridge or converter fill, a clip pressed from a single piece of spring steel. It is 136 mm capped and 20 g filled, which is close to the middle of what most people find comfortable, and the section is a straight 10.6 mm with a very slight concave at the lip.
The nib is set to a 0.6 mm line and tuned a touch on the wet side, because a wet medium is the most forgiving combination there is: it starts first time after a week in a drawer, it writes on bad paper, and it shows off a good ink. If you are buying a first fountain pen and you do not know what you like yet, this is the one that will tell you.
Converter and two cartridges supplied. Flush every six to eight weeks.
