Twelve short international cartridges of dye black. Note that this is a dye black, not the pigmented Carbon Black sold in bottles: pigment in a cartridge is a bad idea for the same reason iron gall in a cartridge is, because a suspension that dries in a feed over an unattended month is a real repair rather than a rinse.
What you get instead is an ordinary, very dark neutral black that behaves perfectly and washes out in thirty seconds. Dry time about 12 seconds in a medium. Not waterproof, moderately lightfast.
This is the cheapest item we sell and we put the same ink in the shop’s loaner pens. If you have a pen you only use for forms, this is what should be in it. Slide-top tin, about 0.7 ml per cartridge.
