Twelve short international cartridges of a straightforward dye blue-black. This is deliberately not the iron gall document ink: iron gall in a cartridge that might sit in a pen for three months is exactly the scenario that gives iron gall its reputation, and we are not going to sell that. This is a conventional, forgiving, pH-neutral blue-black that will sit in a closed pen for a season and start.
The colour is a touch warmer and a touch lighter than the iron gall ends up at, and it does not darken on the page. Dry time is about 11 seconds in a medium. It is not waterproof.
Twelve cartridges in a slide-top tin, about 0.7 ml each. If you want permanence, use the bottled iron gall in a pen you flush. If you want a pen in a drawer that works in March, use these.
